Why do I say it doesn't pay to be nice? Cos on the way home in the train, an aunty lost her balance and stepped (hard!) on my toes. Being the concerned me, I asked if she was alright. Aunty totally ignored my question and continued her conversation with her friends, neither with a tinge of guilt nor a simple sorry. Either that aunty don't understand English, not to mention basic courtesy, or dia simply minta kena sepak.
